GLINT believes in journeying with youths and women to transform their challenges and circumstances positively thereby enjoying dignified lives. In almost every society in the world, women and youths are the engine of the society. Therefore, it is more than imperative for these two segments of the society to be well equipped with positive values that are capable to build a vibrant, peaceful and progressive communities. With these in mind, GLINT would promote it’s core values within the operational areas of it’s interventions and beyond. These core values are universal, unique and unequivocally uplifting.

a. Empowerment: We invest on our human and material resources to serve the communities. We equally foster empowerment initiatives within communities to enable people make informed decisions and choices for positive development. Also, we encourage the development of partnerships, networks and alliances, particularly with local organizations and counterpart government structures in the delivery of services.

b. Self – development: We work with youths and women to realize their full potentials in dignified ways. We work with people to become independent and self-reliant rather that rely on external or internal assistance. We believe in supporting people-driven development initiatives rather than donor-driven interventions.

c. Solidarity: We foster the principles of “Ubuntu.” which states that “All humans are interconnected”. We believe in equal and mutual benefits for everyone in our partnerships, service delivery and as a way of humanity’s peaceful co-existence.

d. Inclusiveness and respect: We believe in the intrinsic dignity of every person. We work with all people regardless of race, gender, religion or politics. We try always to be an inclusive, gender sensitive and diverse organisation, which celebrates diversity and creates relationships of mutual respect.

e. Sustainability: We recognise the intimate relationship between protecting and sustaining the environment and promoting human development; we aim to take proper account of ecological sustainability in our work and in our lifestyle, believing we are enriched by living for the future.

These values underpin GLINT’s purpose and drive. We reiterate these values and commitments daily as we journey with youths and women.
